The Economical Cantilever Shelving System

Torco 1000 was originally developed for libraries and therefore the system offers lots of details that are equally suited for offices, schools and other public areas where there is a need for storage and display of books, magazines and audio-visual products.

A modular library shelving system, consisting mainly of free standing or wall fixed steel uprights, shelves and brackets, are all epoxy/polyester powder coated. Standard colours are white, anthracite grey, light grey, black or silver metallic, with all other RAL colours optional. The free standing uprights, single or double sided, are supplied in heights from 1600 to 2200mm, wall fixed uprights in lengths from 1000 to 2500mm. Library shelves are supplied with brackets for fixing horizontally or sloping at 10, 30, 45 or 75 degrees, in depths from 200 to 400mm and standard widths of 600, 900 and 1200mm.

Torco 1000 is, however, not only a library shelving system. We can offer complete workstations, data workplaces, video, CD, and cassette shelves, book trolleys, PC and monitor brackets, display shelves, MCS (Mobile Cables System), a complete display system, display towers etc.

Design, Quality and Flexibility

Torco 3000 was especially designed to meet the demands of a modern library, by a leading Norwegian interior architect in library design. So in addition to library shelving, it is also suitable for offices, schools and other public areas where there is a need for storage and presentation of all kinds of publications, books, magazines, videos, DVD™s, CD™s and musical cassettes. The system is also very well suited for show rooms as a delicate frame for displaying a range of products.

The system is based on wooden end panels with birch veener surface; the edges are lipped with a 5mm solid beech moulding. Epoxy/polyester powder painted steel shelves are standard, but wooden shelves, special colours and sizes can be supplied as specials. In addition to the standard shelves, the system offers a variety of complimentary products such as shelves for all types of av-products, workstations, book trolleys, counters, signs, information and display products. A standard line of lighting equipment specially designed for Torco library shelving is also included.

The units are supplied as either single or double sided bays of shelving, in heights from 800 to 1920mm. Shelves are supplied in depths of 200 and 300mm and standard widths of 600 and 900mm.
